OUR MISSION
To help our citizens stay well-informed on local public policy issues
To prepare citizens for discussions with their neighbors, elected leaders, town, and school staff on public policy issues
To help citizens select and prioritize local public policy issues for which they want to engage
To ensure that all sides of local public policy issues are presented in open, honest, non-partisan ways, respecting various political philosophies.
To motivate citizens to go beyond being observers so they become actively engaged in local and regional government decision-making.
Rules of Decorum
To be read at the beginning of each session and enforced by the Moderator.
Engaged citizens are invited to discuss local issues to help us all learn from each other.
Alternative perspectives are valued.
Raise your “hand” and wait until you are recognized by the moderator.
Briefly make your point and/or raise your question.
Quick follow ups are allowed but stop when the next person is recognized.
Please, no lengthy speeches, inflammatory language, or personal attacks.
CHAT is not to be used during ZOOM sessions.
Moderator will advise if the session is to be recorded.
